14th ZAWAFE
From Commitment to Action: Accelerating Integrated Resilience Solutions for Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The 14th Zambia Water Forum and Exhibition (ZAWAFE) was held from 9th – 11th June, 2026 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre under the theme “From Commitment to Action: Accelerating Integrated Resilience Solutions for Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”.
Building on the momentum of the 13th ZAWAFE, which emphasized the Water–Energy–Food–Ecological (WEFE)
Nexus, the 14th edition advanced the discourse by shifting from commitment to measurable, on the ground action.
The 14th ZAWAFE theme reflected Zambia’s urgent need to move beyond policy commitments and rapidly scale up
integrated resilience solutions across key development sectors. As the country advances toward Vision 2030 and the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this theme highlighted the importance of accelerating implementation while
building systems capable of adapting to shocks from climate change and public health crises to economic volatility,
resource pressures and emerging environmental challenges.
The Forum was scheduled for three (3) days (9th -11th June, 2026) with the post- field visit taking place on the third day (12th June, 2026). The forum will feature Keynote speeches, Plenary sessions, Parallel breakaway sessions and Exhibitions, providing a strategic and collaborative platform where evidence based solutions, innovations, and financing mechanisms can be showcased and strengthened ensuring that every Zambian, regardless of geography, gender, or income, benefits from resilient, sustainable, and inclusive development.
The forum is structured around a set of strategic sub themes that reflect Zambia’s national priorities and global
development commitments. These sub-themes serve as pillars for dialogue, collaboration, and action, enabling
participants to explore context-specific challenges and co create solutions that reinforce resilience and accelerate
the country’s progress toward the 2030 Agenda.
